On tap at Rip Current, pours a hazy maroon with a small beige head. Aroma brings out burnt candied sugar, some caramel and bready malt. Flavour is heavy and sweet, with brown sugar, caramelized notes, and heaps of caramel. Sweet, nearly cloying, and nothing like a traditional Belgian Strong. It's way too sweet and lacks elegance, but isn't bad.
