On tap at Rip Current, pours a cloudy deep dark reddish brown with a small tan head. Aroma brings out light toasted hazelnuts and crusty rye bread. Flavour brings out a sort of artificial hazelnut character, like hazelnut extract. Dominated by the faux-hazelnuts, so this one ain't working for me.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a dark amber with small off white head that lasts. The aroma is strong hazelnut and roast. Medium body, cocoa, hazelnut, light roast, very good.

On tap. Backlog. Pours with a near black body and a small tan head. Aromas are of hazelnuts, chocolate and mild roast. Creamy mouthfeel. Flavors are earthy, strongly nutty, medium roast, coffee. Hazelnut flavor is forward but feels a bit artificial.
