How do you combine a traditional German Berliner Weisse with a signature Cleveland twist? Cleveliner Weisse. Brewed in the traditional unfiltered way but with a tart Lactobacillus flavor, this is one of our favorite ways to ring in those first warm days on the patio.

Sample at Gabf. Pours a clear gold with small white head that lasts. The aroma is dough, citrus, wheat. Medium body, wheat, dough, lemon, light finish, decent.

Sample at GABF 09/26/2015, thanks to my sis for assistance with note-taking. Slightly hazy golden color with a thin white head that evaporates steadily. Spotty lacing. Aroma of citrus, yeast and malt. Light-bodied with a tart lemony character and notes of herbal yeast and malt. The finish is tart with a citrusy aftertaste. Pretty good overall.
