22oz (thx, Eric R.!) @ Matt's house. Batch #3, vintage 2018. Appearance: very dark brown with a beige head. Aroma: sweet, some dark fruits, complex oak. Taste: along the same lines, quite complex, nice sweetness, good integration, a bit earthy, some tobacco. Overall: this one held up very well for the beer released in 2018. Nice.

Poured from 650mL bottle (2018 release). Black with no head. Mild balanced bourbon, feint sherry, some chocolate and feint dark fruits, very nice.

22 oz. bottle, pours jet black with a tiny head. Aroma is wonderfully rich and cohesive, with lots of rum and sherry barrels showcasing upfront, lots of molasses, some bourbon, a little vanilla, and dark sugars. Flavour is no less rich and cohesive, with lots of rum and sherry barrels, some maple syrup, dark sugars, and bourbon. The booze can be felt but it's well-integrated. Excellent blend.

Let's start this year properly. Black, small but stable creamy head. Smells rich, malty, lightly sweet, definitely light bourbon. Good thickness. Taste is rich and complex, plenty of wood, bourbon, some rum. Decent roast, chocolate. I adore this "style".

650ml bottle. 2018 vintage. Sweet, heavy and complex with some bourbon, oak, vanilla, toffee and syrup, hints of earthiness. Pretty nice and balanced blend.

On tap at the Portland location. Pours a pitch black color with a small beige head. A big hot rum and woody nose, roast. Huge roasted malts, sugary, sweet rum, licorice. Comes together nicely.

22oz bomber, courtesy of JPDurden24, pours with a dark mahogany colored body that supports a thin tan head. The aroma offers up chocolate brownie, malt nuanced marshmallow and smooth bourbon. The taste delivers rich deep goodness with chocolate brownie, spicy molasses, spicy oak and then spicy boozy bourbon like goodness. This is rich and decedent and a terrific sipper. Solid.

22oz bottle pours out black topped with a small tan head. Nose is nice coconut milk chocolate bourbon barrel vanilla roast malts some coffee. Taste is more of the nice bourbon barrel vanilla notes chocolate sweetness and the coconut.
