Atomic Garden Double IPA is our love ballad to the handy horticultural growers in Washington who provide us with the most perfect Amarillo hops we could dream of. This crushable hop bomb comes out to play with a chewy, almost honey-like malt character, which wades below the pops of grapefruit and peach notes from the Amarillo hops, reflecting their candied flavor profile like 4th of July fireworks off the water. The overwhelmingly fruity and juicy hoppy notes stain your palate like Gorbachev's head, leaving it primed like a party that will never stop. Amarillo is the hop that damn near singlehandedly launched a thousand ships, changing the face of IPA and setting the bar for all new hops to come. While there are only a few hops that can compete with Amarillo, none have been able to duplicate its enchanting profile; that makes it one of the best hops in the world for brewing IPA, regardless of coast or style.
