Young Lions is a 6% IPA pale yellow with hints of orange juice in appearance. Hopped intensely with Simcoe, Amarillo, and Motueka. Very low bitterness, crisp, and juicy. Notes of melon, grapefruit pith, bright lime peel, passion fruit, fresh mandarin orange, with a subtle floral note on the aroma.

Pineapple and mango. Some passionfruit. A little green onion. Hazy orange pour. Bitter end like divorce. Tap at brewery.

Sampled at Ocelot’s 2nd anniversary party, pours a muddy gold with some white head. Nose has tropical fruits, perfume, soap. Flavor is lesser, soapy, chalky, guava, mango. Decent finish, chalky.

Thanks Ian for the can! Can into a pilsener glass showing unfiltered yellow orange peel with half a finger of clean white foam. The nose shows notes of grapefruit, pomelo, and light papaya. The palate is well carbonated and medium bodied. Flavors of rich grapefruit and papaya with a moderate citric edge. Moderately sharp IPA bitterness on finish. Another solid Veil brew.
