This batch of Double Shot was crafted to integrate seamlessly with a remarkable and complex coffee - Colombia El Jordan! Given the rich, syrupy nature of the coffee, we brewed a base beer with similar attributes to create a uniquely decadent batch! El Jordan pours thick in the glass, emanating several layers of flavors and aromas, including milk chocolate, cocoa, honeycomb, and even a hint of raspberry. It is singularly rich; the perfect accompaniment to a big plate of barbecue on a cool spring evening. It is, in our opinion, an example of what is possible with careful selection of ingredients paired with focused brewing execution. Please keep cold, enjoy FRESH, and share.

Growler. Pours black with medium tan head leaving spotty lacing. The aroma is strong roast, dark chocolate, wood, ash. Thick, chewy, roast, brownie, fudge, nice sweetness, enjoyed this.

Poured from a 750 ml bottle. Aroma is very coffee forward with lots of chocolate. Coffee notes add some berry notes and light nut butter character. Faint roast notes. Pours black with a medium small, thick, dark mocha head that recedes steadily to a thin film that lingers in the center. Light lacing and medium small legs. Flavor is somewhat sweet, but not as sweet as expected. Fairly strong chocolate notes, but lots of coffee. Coffee has a light nuttiness with some moderate fruit notes including berry. Medium low bitterness. Mouthfeel is medium full bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and medium low alcohol warmth. Overall, a decent beer with a lot of coffee notes. Could be a bit sweeter with some more body. Really nice coffee expression.
