Bottle at Ratebeer Awards. Pours a very dark brown with medium beige head that lasts. The aroma is dark chocolate, oak, roast. Thick, roast, chewy, dark chocolate, wood, bitter finish, very good.

Tap at the brewpub. Pours dark brown with a tan head. There is a cherry/chocolate aroma dominating some very dark treacly malt. Full bodied. Flavor is dark treacle/malt with chocolate and cherries. It’s sweetish, but there does seem to be some dark malt bitter. Some earthy wood thing in the finish I think. It is super delicious. Dessert.
