A deep dark brown barley wine with a thin lacing dark mocha head. In aroma, sweet fruity caramel malt with light vinous notes, dark fruits, molasses, alcohol warmth, very nice. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity caramel malt with dark fruits, plums, alcohol warmth, light licorice, very nice. On tap at brewery.

On tap at the brewpub. Pours a clear deep amber with a brown hue and a light brown head that lasts throughout the beer. Aroma has sweet grains and bourbon with a bit of green apple and toffee. Flavor has much more sweet grain, toffee, bourbon and vanilla with some caramel underlying.

Bottle thanks to Johnathan. Pours a dark brown with medium beige head leaving spotty lacing. The aroma is strong dark fruit, fig, vanilla, cocoa, bourbon. Slick body, similar flavors to nose, very sweet, boozy finish, very good.
