Tap at the brewery - clear dark copper - a nice mix of dark bread maltiness, lightly caramelized sugars, raisin - the tail end is little husky, so that lessens my enjoyment - warming finish.

Tap at taproom. Dark ruby-brown, small beige head. A bit berryish, malty nose. Medium-bodied. Flavour is also somewhat malty and berryish. Sweet, low bitterness. Not as robust as the best German ones.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a dark amber with medium beige head that diminishes quickly. The aroma is raisin, toasted malt, caramel. Medium body, similar flavors to nose, boozy, light dry finish, good.
