75cl bottle thanks to Eric for sharing this in Eecke. Pours a deep hazy brown, pale tan head. Nose brings familiar moderately spiced dubbel notes. Taste is medium bodied, nutty dubbel like yeast, moderately rich, some ryebread, cassonade. Nice dubbel.

Fles gekregen (ambacht dubbel bruin) van Inoven. Het is een donker bruin bier met een medium schuimkraag. Het heeft een moutige wat gebrande geur. De smaak is moutig met in de verte wat caramel en wat gebrand.

I only got less points than Bornem Triple because I didn’t feel like I was drinking wine (either). And that’s not an advantage, but the other one has already had the Tokaji-aszú feeling. We have been doing well in Hungary lately thanks to Lidl that we have been able to taste such great beers. Not a "brown beer," a dubbel - but not as strong and not as "winey." Not as honey-glazed as we would expect based on alcohol, but it's a pleasant disappointment for me because it brings a lot of flavors and experiences :) - many will like it better than triple, you have to be a wine expert :) ( I'm not that :))

0,33l bottle at home shared by a friend. BB 06.11.2019. dark brown color, small off-white head. smells of caramel, spices, light berry notes, ripe fruits, bit nutty, marzipan. nice smell. full body, pearly carbonation, slick mouthfeel. tastes of ripe fruits, caramel, spices, berry notes, marzipan, nutty, flowery, sweetness. finishes light to medium sweet with notes of marzipan, ripe fruits and spices. good one but too heavy for me. Having a hard time with 0,1l.

Bottle from Beautiful Beers, Bury St Edmunds (online order). Mid-brown, quite translucent with a bit of cream-coloured head. Light aroma of cola and hazelnut. Sweet taste, very nutty with heavy molasses and corn syrup notes. There's a little bit of hoppy bitterness near the finish, but it's pretty one-dimensional. Cherry soda and caramel malt in the aftertaste. Well carbonated. Drinkable but still disappointing.

Közepes, tartós hab, barna szín. Illata alig érezhető, leginkább pörkölt malátás, némi meggyes beütéssel. Kissé édeskés, karamelles, malátás, enyhén meggyes, sötétgyümölcsös aromákkal. Közepesen testes, enyhén szénsavas, enyhén keserű. Finom, jó arányokkal rendelkező sör.

Bottle from Brewers Haven. Dark brown, but almost clear, some light coming through. One finger light tan head. Aroma is dark, pit fruit, , some yeast. Taste starts with the dark pit fruit, raisins, prunes, adds some yeast, and some ashy, smoky notes. Sweet then savory, lingering dark fruity flavors (plums). Nice body upholds it all.
