750mL 2018 bottle drunk 4/14/26.
Intense fruit still shining strong after 8 years. Very impressive. Similar to Frampaars, it's very oaky, with a light acetic element, good amount of lactic and mild Brett. The blackcap raspberries here seem extra juicy, even moreso than the red ones used in Frampaars. Not too funky, but lambic-like for sure.
Soft, oily, rich and fruity with lots of fruit tannin and a juicy berry character that seems to have intertwined itself with the oak. There is a bit of acetic character here, as there was with Frampaars. Constructively, that should go, but it's easier said than done. And it's very minor, thankfully. This is a single barrel and I think the lack of blending exposes a bit of thinnness here that could be corrected with blending. But again, minor. I'm very critical of all things lambic since it's my favorite style. But these are excellent beers, for sure. A shame I never made it there.

Bottle thanks to Russell. Pours a dark purple with small pinkish white head that lasts. The aroma is strong berry, grape, oak, funk. Slick body, jammy, berry, funky, oak, nice tartness, enjoyed this.
