The Moinette Bio* is a top fermentation, blond beer with refermentation in the bottle.
It was created in 1990 and is, together with the Saison Dupont Bio*, one of the first two organic* beers.
The Moinette Bio* has the combination of malt aromas, fruitiness and fine hops.
It is very thirst-quenchening and strikes a fine balance between mellowness, fruitiness and bitterness.
The long refermentation in the bottle ends up in a very complex beer.
The production is being controlled by Certisys and has the label Biogarantie®.

@dmacs-2 yr old 750ml bottle-thanks to EZAnt for sharing–pours a foamy white head with trailing lace and slightly hazy gold color. Aroma is grassy/spice, light malt, yeast. Taste is grassy/spice hops, sweet light malt, drying/yeast. Good effervescence.

Super hazy blonde coloured body with a thin, fast-dying white head. Aroma of wheat, yeast, hay, cheerios and a touch of nice light sweetness. Light-bodied; Assertive carbonation with a pleasant deep wheatie and heavily spiced full flavour. A lot of coriander seed, strong yeast, hay, grass, light hops and potent spices come through with this. Aftertaste is just as complex with the spices battling out the yeast, coupled with a very dry grassy and herbal flavour that just persists. Overall, a very nice saison that smells like a wit - a nice mouthful that is ridiculously complex and long lasting. I sampled this 25 cL bottle purchased from Bier Tempel in Bruxelles, Belgium on 02-January-2011 sampled at home in Washington on 17-June-2011.

25cl bottle from Bierkompass. Poured hazy, light amber/orange color with soapy white head. Complex aroma, sour berries, yeast and spices. Later on, the sourness disappears and more sweetness comes through. Flavor is earth and yeast with some lemony notes. Long lingering finish. Smooth. Complex brew, have to try again.

Pours light orange with a medium head. Fruity aroma with hints of pepper and spices. Aroma starts out spicy and sour but then turns into a fruity and sweet saison. Very nice and complex, but enjoyable saison.

[3/3/11] Bottle at Bier Circus in Brussels. Hazy golden-orange color with a white head. Aroma of yeast and lots of fruit esters. Yeasty and fruity flavor, starts with light grainy touches and some sweetness and continues drier with some spicy hops. Medium-bodied. Decent.

Cloudy, golden beer with medium and blond head. Aroma is fresh and fruitfull, medium sour, some spicyness, sweetness and belgian yeast. Taste is sour, earthy, spicyness, not complety dry. Medium bodied and nice to drink. Sour, quite dry, nice saison, but not so refreshning that it would be on the top.

Bottle. Another delicious saison from Dupont. It pours a medium gold, hazy, with a big creamy white head. The aroma is sweet and earthy, like a field of wet barley. There’s some nice complexity in there. Perhaps, a bit of funk even in this fresh bottle. The flavor is sweet with a bit more maltiness than expected but it finishes dry with a pleasant lemon note. This beer is easy to drink and goes well with food. It’d be great to share with friends over some bread and cheese.

another nice saison from dupont, mine is the "foret" version of the biologique. same color and aroma as the avec les bon veux, with a little more effervescense. truely a wonderful beer that is perfect for sharing.
