Can - hotel beer in Austin - clear medium gold - medium sweet, dank, resinous - peppery and citric hop character - a little syrupy late - ain’t bad for a hotel beer.

The can has changed and so has the abv, mine shows 9.0%. This stovepipe was acquired at a Total Wine recently, cannot recall which one. I have a snifter in place prepared to receive the pour. I determine a semi-transparent, dark orange body topped by a hefty head of almost white foam. The smell is very ripe fruit and grain. And I get to the drink, well, I compare it to 120 Minute. Without the kick. Orange rind, hops, bread, honey and meadow. Pleasant, glad to try it, probably one and done. I do like the label, drive a F-150 most of the time.

Crisp, slightly hazy golden and peach coloured body with a large, four to five centimetre tall, quite soapy off-white head. Aroma of grass, citrus, resin, pine and a lot of floral notes, all with a ton of bitterness, some light sugars and a dose of alcohol noticeable towards the end. Medium to Full-bodied; Rich, deep floral and grassy hop characteristics show through at first with a lot of grain, some fruits with grapefruit and pure oranges the strongest and ending with a lot of alcohol and a good deal of malt that does strike the proper balance, but is still very strong throughout. Aftertaste shows some bitterness from all the hops with a light floral and earthy bite with some dry grassy finishes and a dose of the alcohol and malt throughout and less of the hops and fruits with almost no sweetness at all throughout this one. Overall, a decent Imperial IPA, but showing too much punch up front with not enough hop characteristics and not enough robust and complex flavours to make this worthwhile. I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from Spec's in San Antonio, Texas on 12-October-2019 for US$3,92 sampled in my hotel room here in San Antonio, Texas on 13-October-2019.

On tap at Liberty Bar. Pours a copper gold with small white head that lasts. The aroma is pine, dank, grapefruit, melon. Slick body, pine, citrus, resin finish, very good.
