Bottle from the lcbo. Dark brown, with reddish hues and a small off white head. Aroma is tannic, sour, vinegar, dark fruit. Thin mouth feel, soft carb. Dark sour finish, sour dark, malty, fruity vinegar notes. Tannic and earthy oak, earthy wood. Interesting.

Bottle @Mad for Beer (Rome). Ambrata carica, lievemente torbida, schiuma bianco-sporca medio-leggera. Al naso note vinose, di bretta, legno, pelle, malto. In bocca è dolce all'attacco con acidità media. Corpo medio-alto, carbonazione media. Buona.

Bottle thanks to Chow. Pours a hazy coppet with small beige head that lasts. The aroma is floral, leather, oak, dark fruit. Thin body, oak, raisin, leather, nice tartness, very good.

Capped 375 from The Davis Beer Shoppe. Aroma is fairly tart/sour, but in a woody/fruity way for me. Fruit is reminding me of slightly pickled nectarine - with some woodiness. Finishes woody/tart/sour - but not at all in a harsh way. Fairly tasty ale.

Bottle - I know that style guidelines state that a BdG can sometimes have a mild lactic tartness in the finish, in typical CS fashion, the sour/tart here has become the main event, to the detriment of the overall experience - under the acidity in the nose, you can catch the rich malt tones you expect in the style - in the flavor, however, this is swallowed up - I taste acidity, oak, some cherry skins, some dull yeastiness - profoundly disappointing.
