The Saison Dupont Bio* is a top fermentation, blond beer with refermentation in the bottle.
Created in 1990 and together with the Moinette Bio*, one of the two first organic* beers.
The Saison Dupont bio* is a very thirst-quenchening beer with a outspoken bitterness and dryness.
You will discover a touch of citrus (especially pomelo) which even is a strenghtening of this thirst-quenchening aspect.
The long refermentation in the bottle ends up in a very complex but light beer.
The production is being controlled by Certisys and has the label Biogarantie®.

Flaska från SB. Skummar rejält. Ljusgult och mycket disig. Riktigt friskt och vetesyrligt. Lika mycket veteöl/wit som saison. Mycket jäst, kryddor, citrus, vete, hö. Friskt och inte för sött. Lätt beska. Riktigt gott.

Uppfriskande i sommarvärmen!

0,25 l bottle from Gall & Gall Cuijk, NL, bottled on 2/3/2014. Minimally hazy, golden yellow with a huge, foamy, almost stable, white head. Pleasant, fruity taste of apricot, peach, green apples and lemon. Spicy-fruity taste of lemon, apricot, peach, pepper, straw and yeast. Short, slightly bitter and gently tart, dry finish. Medium body, creamy and fizzy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Nice fruity aroma but the taste is a bit empty yet still pleasant. Refreshing, but a bit disappointing.

25cl bottle from Tanakaya. Pours a hazy gold with a huge soapy white head that lingers throughout. Decent lacing. Strong barnyard aromas with pear, green apple, clove, cardamom, yeast and arugula. As it warms up the barnyard becomes more pronounced at some lemon and citrus flavors become more prevalent. Medium body with a funky and light tartness on the palate. Nice lively carbonation that lasts throughout. Great crisp and dry mildly tart finish. Excellent light saison and perfect for an early summer evening.

25 cl. bottle @ home, bought @ Gall&Gall, Utrecht. Hazy golden with a white head. Grainy aroma with a touch of lemon and yeast. Taste is bittersweet with a very dry finish. Nice saison but without the usual funky barn aroma, so in my opinion too clean.

Classic organic beer from one of the pioneers of organic beers in Belgium; the organic version of what can probably be considered one of the archetypes of the saison style. On a par with the regular version, hazy peach blonde under a thick and frothy, yellowish white, very stable head; dry, complex, yeasty and estery, hay, spiciness, citrus touch, smooth graininess underneath, characterful hoppy and yeasty spicy finish, long and quenching. I’d dub this the best organic beer in the country.
