The Saison Dupont Bio* is a top fermentation, blond beer with refermentation in the bottle.
Created in 1990 and together with the Moinette Bio*, one of the two first organic* beers.
The Saison Dupont bio* is a very thirst-quenchening beer with a outspoken bitterness and dryness.
You will discover a touch of citrus (especially pomelo) which even is a strenghtening of this thirst-quenchening aspect.
The long refermentation in the bottle ends up in a very complex but light beer.
The production is being controlled by Certisys and has the label Biogarantie®.

Pours cloudy orange into the bottle with a bubbly but fleeting crown. The sweet aroma of berry, pineapple and yeast greets the nose. Taste is unexpectedly dry given the aroma, the lightly bitter hops at the fore, followed by a restrained yeastiness, a bit of clove, and a faint touch of honey. Palate is medium bodied with a lively but not aggressive carbonation. Finish is short and dry. Very pleasant.

250ml bottle. Cloudy golden colour with small to average, frothy, fairly lasting and lacing, white head. Spicy yeasty aroma, notes of brine and mustard seed, lately developing, herbal hoppy overtones, hints of balm. Taste delivers identical spicy yeasty notes of brine and mustard seed, well supported by a malty basis thereby elaborating fruity notes of apricot and peach, also a more distinct peppery spicy touch; again citrusy-herbal overtones which come balm probably nearest. Reliable Dupont quality.

Bottle from The Beerhive. Hazy golden body with microscopic yeast flecks and a thin off-white head. No visible carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of lime, sea salt, green apple and grass. Flavour of lemon, underripe melon, grass and tangy yeast. Medium body with a spritzy texture. Prickly fizz. A classic Saison.
