Draught @ Sijf as Passendale Blond 6% Aroma has toffee, butter and grain. Flavour has toffee, butter, grain and mellow hoppy notes. A solid Belgian blonde.

Thnx to biersmurfke! Pours blond with an amber glow. Small white head. Smell is sweet, malty, some yeast. Taste has some bitterness, to my surprise. Kinda sweet backbone, bit buttery though no dyacethyl, more like in a gentle softness. High carbo. Kinda wattery but ok as it is

So, one would be tempted to say Moortgat sold out the cheese to De Proef... Good, lacy, but not stable head over clear orange-amber beer. Laurel, mannah, old bread, pale malts. Sweet, but with a dry finish. I seem to get some corn as well, as some milkyness (not: lactic) taste. retronasal some solvent, I would venture. Dried fruits, as apricots. Very carbonated MF, medium bodied, alcoholwarming. It is very neutral, but it would make a perfect accompaniment to the cheese; lacking the same kind of character.
