On tap at The Beer Temple, pours a deep dark muddy brown with a medium beige head. Aroma has a juice balance of roasted malt and earthy hops pretty classic. Flavour is much the same, with moderate roasted malt, toasted notes, and potent earthy hops. Could be more potent but the balance is right on. Roasty and bitter, but easy-drinking. Very good.

Bottle from Bottles & Books. Hazy brown body with a huge beige head. Lively carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of vanilla and and earth. Flavour of chocolate and black bean. Thin body with spritzy mouthfeel. Very fizzy. Rich and interesting.

16 oz. can from Trader Joe's, $2.50. A nice fresh hop nose the moment I popped the tab. Brownish black color under a tall tan head. But… the taste is a little thin to me. There is some hop bitterness, but it takes a while to become apparent. The malt does get a little more like it should after a few sips. Nice roastiness, even what seems like a fruity note of Guinness Sour. It takes just a little while to find what I like about this beer.

Can. Pitch black, solid, rocky beige head, pretty lasting. Gentler tropical fruity notes, slight roasty finish in the nose. Moferate bitterness, dry. Some coffee roastiness, a bit of black currant. Roadty aftertaste. Lighter body. Proper BIPA.

Can shared by Keukeman at tasting. Opaque black color, full sized tan head. Aroma is malts, roasted malts, don't really get hop. Flavor though definitely has hops, malts, roasted malts and a coffee note with a pleasant bitterness. Decent to medium body and carbonation. Good. 8-3-8-4-14
