Fragrance and taste of the “yeast-cloudy” wheat beer are distinguished by a refined top-fermented flowery-yeast character and an unmistakable, distinct banana aroma. First sensation on the taste buds is full-bodied, very soft and mild with a lively, champagne-like sparkle. A light, typical wheat beer taste is expressed, the bitter tone of which can scarcely be detected. The sparklingly refreshing Ayinger Bräuweisse will impress every wheat beer connoisseur with the first mouthful.

[Munich 2018] Sampled draft @ Ayingers Speis und Trank. Hazy orange, classical, slightly smaller head. Nose is pure fluffy banana, bit sweeter with clove. Taste is banana on the sweeter low sugary side with flowers, touch sugar, massively balanced with no excess. Rich bodied, very nice.

Review based on the BJCP2015 guidelines (style 10A). Bottle 50 cl (batch L3171 - BBF 03.19). AROMA: meidum notes of wheat, slight clove, some banana and faint citric. APPEARANCE: gold color and hazy. medium-large white head, creamy, with good retention. TASTE: similar to aroma with medium notes of banana, wheat, slight doughy, bubble-gum and faint clove. low bitternes with a slightly sweet finish. PALATE: medium-full body with medium-high carbonation. OVERALL: another weissbier by the book.

50cl bottle from Abeervinum, Rimini, Italy. Pours very hazy, carrot gold with a good head of white foam, very fine. Aroma is markedly banana. Body is kind of light, with good carbonation. Taste is pretty sweet. Finish is regular, actually kind of short.
