Der jüngste Zuwachs im Sortiment der BRLO Braukunst aus Berlin ist das German IPA. Hinter dem Namen steckt ein unfiltriertes India Pale Ale, das mit den drei Hopfensorten Comet, Hüll Melon und Polaris eingebraut wird. Kräftig kaltgehopft, mit ordentlich „Wumms“ und anständig bitter – so wie es Braumeister Michael gerne mag.

Bottled at Bar Central, Stockholm. Hazy amber, mid sized head. Aroma of grapefruit and cherry juice. Mid sweet with medium body and clean mouthfeel. Crystal malt, caramel and grapefruit. Resinous bitter finish. Basic.

Bière 33 cl commandée chez une petite mousse. Jolie couleur blonde avec pas mal de dépôt puisque non filtrée, ça a un côté authentique assez sympa. Au nez, de l'exotisme qui rappelle les IPA américaines. En bouche, on retrouve le côté fruité et houblonné typique des IPA, mais aussi une note boisée, fût, caramel. Notes de poivre et piment. Une plutôt bonne pioche!

7 3 7 3 13Draft at BRLO Brewpub, Berlin. Fairly hazy orange light brown with a cream coloured head. Aroma of fresh weeds, herbal notes and caramel malt. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Draft in the brewery biergarten on Saturday 4th Aug 2018. Slight red hue to the amber body, white crown in the afternoon sun. A malty and fruity nose is followed by a caramel semi-sweet taste which mellows when the fruitiness arrives in the mouth, some late hop action calms the beer down further with some mild bitterness.

On tap at BRNO, Berlin. Amber with a white head. Aroma of malt, fruit and some hops. The same in the taste, also some caramel. The finish was medium bitter.

(Draught at BRLO Brwhouse, Berlin, 17 July 2018) Reddish amber colour, hazy, with frothy off-white head. Fruity, hoppy nose with dried apricots, resin, orange peel and herbal hops. Malty, fruity taste with notes of caramel, crisp-bread, dried apricots, orange peel and a generous herbal bitterness in the finish. More than medium body, with a certain sweetness. Tasty and well made IPA, with a fresh herbal hop character. Nice one.
