The St. Sebastiaan Golden is a golden, heavy fermented abbey beer with a distinctive fruity aroma and subtle hints of elaborately selected herbs. This St. Sebastiaan has a nice balance between sweet and bitter and has a nice full-bodied taste with a soft, malty aftertaste.

Bottle from Drankenhandel Leiden. Aroma is Belgian yeast with malt, some floral and fruity notes. Spicy yeast, moderate to medium sweet and more bitter than I expected. Could use more depth.

Poured a light gold with a bit of head. Smell was floral and fruits. Taste was sweet , mouthfeel was a bit thin. Very drinkable golden ale, I rather enjoyed.

ceramic bottle with a swingtop cork attached, but the beer was capped. Pretty good if you wan't to drink half and save the other half for later. Probably mostly a theoretical situation. cloudy yellow, small white head. aroma is somewhat faint, belgian herbal yeasts dominate, also fainter sweet yellow fruity notes. Flavor is belgian yeast, yellow fruits, a bit watery for a tripel, flavor is also quite mild and non-belgian-beer-geek-friendly. Still has a distinct belgian character to the flavor, but is way less agressive than usual.

A éviter.

0.75 ml bottle, cold from the fridge. Smell-weak malt. Foam- thin, acidic, caramel, Belgian notes, malt, faint bitter and roast tones. Head is small to medium, white color. Appearance- generic black bottle cap, simple label. Clear orange, amber-ish color. Very few carbonation bubbles. From-snifter Taste - weak acidic, malt, faint roast, citrus, some weak hops, some faint sour aftertaste, some fruitiness too. I don't know.. I am not impressed... its not bad, but nothing over the top as well.
