Our citrusy and refreshing Berliner Weisse is a modern take on a true Berlin classic. Brewed using the same traditional lactic acid cultures as the Berlin brewers of the 1920's, our Berliner Weisse is a bright and sparkling thirst-quencher. The beer embodies the liveliness of summer with the fruity tang of lemon and melon, further complimented by the tartness of rhubarb and gooseberries. To ensure a properly Stone (and therefore iconoclastic) Berliner Weisse, we upped the ABV to a healthy 4.7% and hopped the beer with new German varieties, Huell Melon and Callista.

330 ml. can purchased at Systembolaget Hansa. A traditional German style brewed by an American brewery in Berlin drank on the train while travelling from Sweden to Denmark. Might be my most international beer yet. Nose is spoiled lemon, cereal, corn, watery yoghurt. Taste is dirty lemonade, Sprite, soap, spoiled yoghurt, citrus. Not a fan.

Gott.

Frischer, weich säuerlicher Antrunk. Süffig, Noten von Limette, etwas Zitrone. Minimal pfeffrig, vollmundig, die Säure ist angenehm. Spritzig, mittellanger Nachhall. 10/10/11/11/12/11

Can from Westhill Service Station. It pours hazy bright pale yellow with a small bubbly white head. The aroma is musty, earthy, hay, but lactic, cheesecake and melon. The taste is crisp, dry, tart, lemon - lime, melon, must, citric acidity, granny smith apple, hay, floral notes, bit lactic, gooseberry, earth and funk with a firmly dry finish. Light - medium body and fine, prickly carbonation. A rather solid semi - trad Berliner Weisse.
