Hazy gold beer, good white head. Palate is airy and crisp. Strong lagerish malts, trace of nuts. Nice touch of lemon brings it together, whisper of brett. Light finish. Good stuff, what are all these low ratings about?

Tamelijk bittere afdronk. Drinkt gemakkelijk door, zeker na een lekkere goed gevulde maaltijd

Brun tåkete med høyt hvitt skum. Litt fruktig lukt, noe karamell. Rask bitter smak som fort forsvinner.

Tap @ Weeshuis Schiedam, medium sample. Clear yellow to golden color, short frothy head. Aroma of grassy hop, slight spicy and peppery yeast. Quite bitter for a belgian tripel style beer. Going towards Duvel and Westmalle Tripel, and that’s a compliment. Quite tasty in its grassy and flowery bitterness.

Bottle courtesy of Deanso. Poured a hazy straw colour with a frothy white head and lots of bubbles. The aroma is yeast, citrus hop. The flavour is moderate bitter, light sweet with a big dry yeast, hop bitter, light alcohol palate. Medium bodied with lively carbonation.

6th Feb 2015: 33cl bottle in the lovely ’Yesterdays World Beers’ a bar inside an antique shop in Brugge. One of 65 different bottles to choose from (this being one of the two unrated by me). Mini-haze to the golden amber pour, white head on top. Fairly sweet for a ’bitter’ with mild hop nose soon taken over by the malt content, same in the taste. Easy to drink and pleasant, a nice blend in fact: crisp and sharp with the hop element, smooth and calmer with the maltiness. Better than decent.
