Smakprov på CBC 2014. Smak och doft av tropiska frukt, nektar, mycket humle, frisk ananas med toner av trä och citrus. Lätt syrlig och med en viss torrhet. Väldigt gott.

375mL bottle, pours a cloudy orange with a tiny white head. Nose brings out loads of citrus hops, citrus zest, big bretty funk, and more dry citrus hops - exquisite aromatics. Flavour is extremely complex, with a wonderful mix of huge bretty funk notes, combined with a wallop of citrus hops and citrus zest. This sure has incredible depth, with a flavour complexity that lingers on and on. Phenomenal stuff.

Bottle from The Davis Beer Shoppe. Pours brilliant orange tinged gold wih a slight, transient white head. Engelszell glass. Aroma of fruity sweatsox. Med body, or nearly. Flavor is sour citrus sweatsox. Somewhat bitingly tart/sour. And bitter. Excellent marriage of "brett" and hop. Have never had anything like this. More or less. Excellent.

Pours a yellowish, goldish orange color. Quite cloudy. Medium-sized white head. Lots of fine bubbles. Seems to be pretty sticky. Nice enough looking. The aroma is ok. Mostly funk and sour with some hops in the background. There’s some nice depth to the funk. Some solid oak comes through. Dusty. Unfortunately, the messiness of the flavor also starts to emerge, though it doesn’t really take over until you hit the taste. (Edit: as the beer warms, the diacetyl becomes increasingly prominent in the aroma. Unfortunate.) The citrus hop flavor tries to push it toward a citrus-y sourness but doesn’t quite get there. The taste is a big step down. Pretty much from the get go, it has a grainy sourness with a bile note and a bunch of diacetyl. This beer might improve with time as the brett eats away at the buttery flavor. I just think that pedio got a hold of this one, and it wasn’t given enough time to clean up. Fairly tart. Some mild hop bitterness. Full mouthfeel. Medium pucker. I don’t understand the ratings on this one. It reminds me of the diacetyl-heavy sours from Ale Industries. I love CS, but this is a mess that they threw some hops on top of. Also, this is becoming an increasingly common problem among American sours, and it’s terribly disappointing.

Bottle thanks to pepsi! Pours hazy golden with a small white head that dissipates slowly with nice lacing. Aroma is quite strong, lots of brett, but the good kind, lemon, oak tannins, more Brett, grass, basement. Flavor is medium tart, lightly funky, lemon fruitiness and brightness, oak, Brett. Finish is tart and dry. Medium body, low carbonation. Yum!

Men riktigt bra.
