25 cL bottle. Pours clear and golden orange with a lacing white head. Mild malty and slight metallic aroma. Medium sweet caramel in the initial flavour. Mild yeasty and more pronounced metallic flavours following. Lingering caramel malty finish. A bit on the boring caramel and metallic flavour side of beer.

Bottle. Clear medium amber orange (cola) color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, toffee, brown suager. Flavor is moderate sweet and light light acidic with a average to short duration. Body is medium to light, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. (060408)

Bottled. Copper colour, mediumzsized bubbly beige head. Aroma is saccarine along with sweet tropical fruits and slight toffeeish hints. Flavour is the same, but the sweeness has turned into a biting sourness and bitterness. So from sweet tropical fruit to dry, sour fruit. Also rich carbonation tickles the tongue. Mouthdrying finish.

Light hazy amber colour. Toasty, caramelly aroma. Quite toasty character. Oxidized maybe? Either way, not much to see here.

Bottled (BB 08/2006)
Clear amber color, small white head. Burned butterscotch aroma, a bit malty. Dry, watery and very carbonated. Tart flavor, almost lambic-like. Some roasted notes in the aftertaste. Quite interesting, but not very good brew. There is maybe something which reminds about Duchesse De Bourgogne.

(Bottle 25 cl) Amber coloured with a slightly beige head. Nice malty nose with a touch of caramel in the flavour. Rather anonymous "Speciale" - and far from the best of it’s style. 151197

A nut brown beer with a beutiful beige head. The aroma is sour with notes of caramel, nuts, and prunes. The flavor is sweet and sour with notes caramel, wood, prunes, and licorice. The end is rather hop bitter and dry but leaves with notes of prunes. A bit tart. I'm disappointed in this one - coming from Verhaeghe.

Golden color. Simple aroma. But it tastes like chicken! Quite sweet. Forget it.

Bottled. Amber coloured. Lovely resiny balsamic aroma. Sweet and clean with lively honeyish finish. Complex, but perhaps too sweet and very discrete.
