Like all things truly Jersey, 077XX makes the most in balancing through its accentuation of extremes. Inspired by the west coast IPAs we love, we added a thump of hops to a dynamic malt profile and chose a yeast to drive these two further than they wanted to go. Throw our water into this mix and you will find dank green resinous hops popping over orange, mango and papaya aromas, with just enough sweetness of body to make the long finish a pleasure to have around. Drink 0’Dub when your night matters.

Growler from Joe Canal’s in Lawrenceville, New Jersey. Hazy medium gold color with a small rocky beige head. Slightly dank hoppy nose with a hint of ground mustard seed. Flavor is more of the same with notes of bitter lemon and dandelion greens. Some tropical fruit notes as well. Mid taste brings bready malt that is quickly engulfed by the complex spicy, bitter hop bill. Finish is white grapefruit and arugula greens. Nicely done.

Can. Pours clear orange, medium creamy off-white head, dissipates slowly, solid lacing. Aroma is pretty dank and herbal, cat piss. Flavor is light plus sweet and quite bitter, resinous with a strong IBU kick. Not a lot of tropical here, mostly pine, pot and palate slapping. Medium body, resinous, some finishing heat which is a bit surprising for a sub 8% beer.

Big can @ my parents’ basement, courtesy of arminjewell. Thanks Armin! Pours a hazy yellow orange appearance with a cream colored head. Dry, grainy, herbal nose. Vanilla cake, lemon, green hops in the aroma. A little spritzy. Moderate sweetness and bitterness. Chewy and doughy. Spicy and resiny. Very distinctive. Pretty fine.

Draught at Edison Ale House, Newark, NJ; 10oz
Hazy golden color with compact head. The aroma is a bit sweaty and animal. Lean body, nice flavor of pale malts, simple, but it’s a right choice for these beers; the hopping is very powerful, strong bitterness, strong resiny character, moderate animal, lighter fruity.
Tastes like a regular IPA, not a double. Very nice and fresh though.

16oz can I picked up at the brewery, pours a clear orange with some creamy, white head. Nose is very musty, pine needles, flower pollen, orange, soap. Flavor is the same, honey, malt, pine, orange, some guava, a little yuzu. Medium bodied, bitter finish.
