This single hop IPA showcases the rare Nelson Sauvin hop from New Zealand. Delightfully confusing aromas of citrus and mandarin oranges give way to an incredibly complex body of earth tones and marigolds. This is truly unlike any hop you’ve ever tasted.

Hazy golden with white head. Sweet malts, fruity, chalky. Melon fruity, lychee maybe. Nice pale malt, oat, chalky dry character. Raspy sharp hopbburnlike feel. I like it.

Can shared. Very hazy yellow golden with white head. Huge dank juicy hops, grapes, earthy, geapefruit, lime. Some oats and wheat, but mostly super dank weedy and fruity hops. Under medium sweet and medium bitter. Just medium bodied. Hop juice 😋

1 pint can. Pours a cloudy yellow amber with chunky bits and full head. Aromas of melons, sweetened grapefruit, passionfruit and doughy malts. Sharper flavors of same with additional pine and pithy citrus. Not getting the high ratings on this one. Sharper stronger flavors than the average copycat Hazy, but not outstanding and awful looking

16oz (thx for bringing, Alex!) @ home shared with Alex. Appearance: murky straw with a white head. Aroma: weird like an aggressive cat pees, car exhausts, fruity. Taste: very fruity, somewhat sour and flowery. Overall: ok.

Well-made, and a good showcase for Nelsons; full of white grape sweetness, grapefruit zest, pith, white pepper, and minerals. Peters out on the finish, though, growing dry and somewhat bland, with only pepper and mineral in the fade. Solid IPA, but I’m more a fan of its construction than its taste.

16 oz can from Half Time, 2/15/21. Packaged 2/18/20 and best by 4/18/21, so I'm well within that window here. The beer pours a nice golden-orange color with a white head some fairly strong steaks of foamy lace. Orange, lime, pineapple, and lychee all come through. A bit of white grape. Finishes on the peppery side.
