Svartekunst - Black Magic - is a Porter Stout we brewed initially in summer 2011, to celebrate our Batch Number 100. Each year sees a new vintage, and the detailed recipe is adjusted each time, so that later tasting sessions can make some really interesting comparisons. As the label suggests, this is a highly potent and powerful beer. The bitterness, however, will fade in the cellar, and the vinous tones will amplify. Coffee, burnt notes, smoke and leather are the dominant flavours. Residual sweetness is heavy, while the hops are dry with a bitter finish. We believe this stout can improve for 20 years, hence the legend "Best After" rather than "Best Before".

From tap at Taphouse, Copenhagen. Aroma is roasted malt, rich & creamy milk chocolate, mocha, big cocoa, dark chocolate. Flavour is moderate to medium sweet with some roasty bitterness in the finish. Body is full and creamy. Majestic chocolate Stout, smooth and thick, pure pleasure for chocolate lovers.

Sort med lysbrun topp som forsvinner fort, legger seg rundt kanten. Aroma: mørk sjokolade, kaffebønner, karamell, tørket mørk frukt, ristet malt. Smak: mørk belgisk sjokolade, kaffe, ristet malt, hint av mørke bær. mild bitterhet, lang ettersmak

Bottle shared with HDI at his place 30.12.21. Ebony. Dark beige head and lacing. Excellent aroma, taste and aftertaste of dark chocolate, pine and bitterness.

750ml bottle, at home, 27th November 2020. Pours black, aroma is liquorice, dark malts, booze, molasses. Taste is liquorice, dark malts, bitter, slight sweet, coffee bean. There is a robust finish, its a solid and straight forward Imperial stout
