On tap at Parish, pours jet black with a small brown head. Aroma is rich as hell, with intense bourbon and vanilla beans upfront, with rich maple, cocoa, and roast. Flavour is extremely rich and complex, with intense bourbon barrels upfront, followed by a rich dark malt character, plenty of sugars, vanilla, and molasses. Certainly sweet but not cloying. Complex and rounded. Wonderful.

Bottle, 750 ml at the brewery. Black with quickly diminishing brownish head. Chocolate, maple, dark fruit, cherries, bourbon, moderate sweetness. Oily. Smooth as hell. Thick and decadent. Some alcohol on nose. Complex yet smooth. Loved it.

750ml bottle thanks to BillyT. It pours oily jet black with a quickly dissipating dark tan head. The aroma is rich roasted malt, bitter - sweet, crazy sweet and sticky, massive vanilla, vanilla fudge, toffee crisp, creamy, milk chocolate, cake frosting, vanilla ice cream and sweet bourbon vibes. The taste is slick, oily, toothy, chewy, vanilla fudge, cake frosting, bitter - sweet, bourbon soaked booze, vanilla coffee, warming booze, dark chocolate, decadent, tannin, chocolate brownie, spicy and charred oak with a slick, warming finish. Fulsome body, fine carbonation and oily, slick mouth feel. Rich and decadent. I shouldn't like it, but do. Fun.
