Can, 25oz. An unclear, pinkish orange-golden beer with a minimal sized off-white head. Tomato and not much else in the aroma. The flavor having the same problem, wit some salt and pepper. Medium bodu wth soft carbonation. Tomato juice finish. At first I thought it wasn’t that bad, but hell it is. 130811

Can. Man, what can I say? This is undrinkable. Pours a bile colored pinkish hue, a small white bubble of head. A terrible rotting mess of intestines, sick and something akin to salty rotten tomato. The flavor is super salty, intense, really sweet and salty tomato, somehow the lime just makes it so much worse, like spraying air refreshner after a troubling bathroom incident it actually all combines terrible ingredients to something unspeakable.

Tall boy canned @ home poured into my Crooked Staved snifter and picked up at 287 Liquor Foco. Pours a peachy/pinkish appearance with practically no head. A touch citrusy, big tomato juice, celery, chili powder aroma - not a whole helluva lot different from the Budweiser Chelada aroma. Spicy, tomato, somewhat watery, celery, veggie flavor. Yuck. I honestly think this is a bit worse that the Budweiser Chelada. Tastes like my mom’s Chow Mein.

Can. Hazy, red/orange liquid with medium, fast dissipating pink head. Savory aroma of tomato, lime, salt, fish, cooked vegetables, cereal and some throw up. Yuck. Taste is light sweet and light bitter with notes of tomato and salt. WTF? Disgusting. Medium bodied with light to medium carbonation and weirdly sticky mouthfeel. So fucking disgusting. Couldn’t finish my glass.

Can at Chriso’s Fullers-Gales Tasting, thanks to Leighton. It pours cloudy deep orange, with pretty much no head. The nose is tomato, spice, salt and green vegetables. The taste is (unsurprisingly) sweet tomato, salt, cracked black pepper and chilli pepper. The best thing is that you can’t taste the bud light. It’s a lot like bloody mary mix, so we just added some vodka and Worcestershire sauce to liven it up. Not as bad as anticipated (but then again I do like bloody marys).

Can at chriso Vintage Tasting. Pours cloudy, red gold. Impressively, the further into the can you get, the redder, cloudier and thicker the beer becomes. There are many bits of sediment floating about. Mild tomato juice aroma. Has a sweet and quite salty flavor, with nice tomato notes and modest pepper spiciness coming through. Light in body with average carbonation and bits of stuff swishing in the mouth as well. Salty-sweet finish, more tomato, light sugar. Not bad. We ’made the beer our own’ by adding different things. I went with just a dash of Worchestershire sauce, which did improve the beer a bit. Some of the others preferred a more robust concoction, and opted for the Worchestershire, Tabasco and vodka, a blend that they enjoyed quite a bit. A very versatile beer.

24oz can pours light hazy pink with a medium white head. Aroma is metallic with lots of salt and brine. Flavor is flat out gross, salt water, brine, corn and a nasty bitter salt and lime finish.

I love tomato juice. I don’t particularly like Bud Light - but if it’s there I’ll drink it. But this? Never again. My friend had both the Bud Light and Budweiser versions of this beer and I thought, why not? It’s something new, right? Wrong. I’ve smelled this before. On my 21st birthday, the next morning - after a night of drinking beer and eating pizza, chips and salsa. Perhaps one of the more revolting things I’ve consumed. If you really like Bud, tomato and salt water, this is for you. Comparable to the "regular" version.
