A dark hoppy beer without a traditional dark hoppy beer taste. Light roasted, chocolate malt transitions into a smooth finish with a hint of tangerine.

Can at home. Aroma is fruity hops, dark malt, slight roast, pine resin, caramel, some citrus and cocoa. Flavour is moderate sweet and moderate to medium bitter. Medium bodied. Not as roasty of fruity as most BIPA, but piney hops instead. Nice.

12 oz. can. Thanks, Joe! Pours black, with a big, fluffy, beige head. The aroma is black coffee, thin cocoa, pine sap, anise, and burnt toast. Sweet and malty, with a sharp, acrid bitterness. Medium body, with a frothy, astringent palate. This is a little harsh and too roasted. Good hop aromas hiding in there, though.

Bottle. Dark brown pour with a thick creamy brown cap. The aroma is a mild roast with light citrus hops. Tastes sweeter than expected, modest roast, and faint bitters. Has some citrus juiciness, but relatively light in the hops department. I love a good CDA, but this is pretty mediocre.

0,355l can at home. No obvious BB date. almost black color, small tan head. smells quite nice fruity / herbal, grapefruit, grass, light notes of mango, very light sweetness, some earthy notes, lovely fresh smell. full body, light carbonation, slick mouthfeel. tastes of grapefruit, a bit citric, lemon grass, light notes of licorice, spices, quite a bit of grass. finishes rather fruity and only very light bitter with notes of grapefruit, lemon grass and a very light sweetness. quite lovely beer, taste is rather light especially considering the ABV, but this makes it easily drinkable. also not overly complex but still quiet enjoyable. finish gets a bit boring when warm.
