Missouri Wild Ale aged on Raspberry and Grape Pomace.

Reflections represents our small batch, experimental run of MIssouri Saisons and Wild Ales in which we age the beer in barrels that have had exemplary lives or un-rinsed fruited barrels for a softer, more subtle fruit expression - which is Reflected in the final beer and blend.

This blend was bottle conditioned for more than a year after resting in oak barrels which held raspberry and Chambourcin pummace.

Released 7/14/2020.

375ml @ Ryan's. Appearance: hazy copper with a quickly disappearing white head. Aroma: some berry sweetness, barrel, interesting wild notes. Taste: oxidized, moderately acidic, some acetone. Overall: ok, quite a bad beer for a member-only beer.

Poured from 375mL bottle (thanks Hartley). Hazy dull orange with no head. Vinous, raspberry, quite acidic, light barrel. Okay.

A bit hazy, some pinkish sort of colour. On the nose, there's a bit of balsamicy sort of stuff to the acid. Or unfermented grape. Light raspberry. On the palate, it's quite tart and acidic. A bit acetic. The grape lends nuance and raspberry rounds it out. Ok, but it's quite sharp.

Bottle. Pours a cloudy orange with paper thin white head that diminishes quickly. The aroma is strong grape skin, oak, funk, mineral. Thin body, berry, grape, mineral, funk, nice acidity, enjoyed this.

Mmmm tannic raspberries, winey raspberries, barreled raspberries, perfect funk.
