Blend of stouts brewed with almonds, lactose, and honey and aged in bourbon barrels.
Almond Suite is one of many collaborations that I have brewed with Side Project over the years. The recipe for the base of this blend combines some of our shared signature stout producing ingredients, along with toasted almonds in the mash, kettle, and brite tank. The profile on this beer is eminently deep and layered. The dramatically dark head releases notes of dark chocolate-covered diamond caramels and bourbon-soaked vanilla. The body is a rich and nimble with a beautiful almond expression mid-palate that seamlessly floats into cocoa-dusted almond truffles.

Taster from 0,5l bottle in Sint-Truiden. Batch 1. Black color, small coffee colored head. Smells marzipan, nutty, earthy, molasses. Full body, light carbonation. Tastes molasses, nutty, marzipan, bourbon, vanilla. Finishes light to medium sweet with notes of molasses, nutty and vanilla notes. Very nice one, super smooth, nutty

500ml bottle. Roasty, earthy and slightly nutty with some bourbon, vanilla, oak and honey, hints of syrup and chocolate sauce.

Bottle. Pours inky black, minimal head or lacing. Aroma is chocolate, nuts, coffee grounds, liquor, hint of cherry. Flavor is really sweet, light bitter. Medium body, low carbonation.

Bottle thanks to Brian. Pours a dark brown with small tan head. The aroma is strong almond, dark chocolate, licorice, bourbon. Slick body, roasted malt, cocoa, molasses, wood, boozy finish, enjoyed this.
