Designed to challenge the senses as well as perceptions, this is an easy-drinking, strong flavoured and spiced stout. This beer has captured the imagination and the fans across the UK and in America, even gaining an honourable mention in the 2013 Brussels Beer Challenge.
Taking you on a journey to South America, via Yorkshire, drinking this 6.5% Chipotle Chocolate Stout is a journey in itself. Rich heady chocolate on the nose, it’s all about deep luscious stouty goodness throughout with a soft mouthfeel. Just as a coffee bitterness develops, and you’re thinking that the party’s over, a subtle dry heat arrives that not only leaves your mouth tingling, but also thirsty and gasping for another taste. The Mayans smoked their chillis, and rather than brew with smoked malt, which can add to the bitterness, we used freshly smoked dried chipotle chillis to add an extra layer of flavour.

50cl bottle pours a watery but also inky black with some spitty, cream colored head. Nose has a lot of chocolate syrup, some star anise, molasses. Flavor has much more of the promised pepper, some chili heat, chocolate, black peppercorns, some cola. Loads of Hershey syrup. Peppery finish.

Barwa brunatna z brazowa piana, sredni lacing. Aromat gorzkiej czekolady, intensywny, przyjemny, jakby ktos na swiezo polamal kostki czekolady, super. W smaku ponownie gorzka czekolada z konktetna palonoscia, wyczuwalna goryczka plus mega ostrosc jakby chili, ktora niezle drazni gardlo i podniebienie. Piwo srednio tresciwe, slodkawe w posmaku z dodatkiem chili. Raczej dlugo sie bedzie pilo.

Keg at The Belgrave Music Hall, Leeds ,Saturday 21st February 2015 Amazing smooth milky chocolate with a lovely warmth. Wow this is like drinking chocolate, it is so chocolatey. Loving the steady but subtle warmth from the chilli, not a lot else to add, it’s a great beer. A8 A5 T9 P4 Ov16 4.2

Pretty nice. Huge cacao aroma in this. Very dry chocolate sense. Pours black with good head and lacing. Some musk. A very delayed spice to this. Surprises you. I like this one. Thanks to dclawyer.

Trevlig.

Bottled:
Pours black with a dense head.
Aroma is all about chocolate; this beer smells like a chocolate bar!
Taste is chocolate and vanilla with a growing, dry chipotle heat.
