On tap at the brewery. Pours a cloudy orange with small white head that diminishes quickly. The aroma is toasted malt and wheat. Medium body, bready malt, wheat, light finish, decent.

Draft at Idletyme Brewpub in Stowe, VT. Clear bronze color with a small khaki head. 5.7 ABV is well hidden. Smooth caramel malts. Good stuff.

Might be seasonal, yes, I’m a little late to this party, but hey, properly poured into correct glassware (mug).
The appearance was a ruddy burnt amber color with a sly transparency to it. Nice big frothy white head that slid appropriately into the beer. Rimmed semi-ringy lace trying to cling to the glass.
The aroma takes on some big sweet to roasty nutty, caramel and toffee malts. Slight grassy hops show some bittering.
The flavor yields to the nutty sweetness. Caramel and nutty malts slide on into the background. Well blended from the grassy hops to the malts in the aftertaste leading on into the finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a nice sessionability about it. Moderate carbonation, feels good flowing onto my tongue, rich smoothness.
Overall, very nice octoberfest/marzen that held up to now. Looking forward to banging this out again next Autumn.
