Smell-malt, caramel, chocolate, faint cake, faint wood. Foam- thin to medium, caramel, sweet, faint alcohol. Head is Appearance- nice can design, I like it. Beautiful dark brown head, small to medium, ok medium. Black in color. From - pint Taste - malt, caramel, sweetness, chocolate, faintly acidic tones mixed with faint roast, and more chocolate, malt. Alcohol in the background, but decently hidden. Good.

12 oz. can. Pours black, with a smaller, dense, brown head. The nose is dark chocolate, butterscotch, vanilla, smooth rye, and pecan. Sweet and malty, with a mild, earthy bitterness. Very heavy body, chewy, and pretty clean. Bold, surprisingly balanced, and complex. Quite nice.

Can thanks to AJ. Pours black with small beige head that diminishes quickly. The aroma is strong toasted coconut, roast, wood, bourbon. Slick body, coconut, dark chocolate, wood, boozy finish, very nice.

A fortunate acquisition at the local (and only) craft beer store in the area, Kokytus came in 2 pack of 12 oz cans put into a stacked box. The label on this can says the brewing was on 2/7/19 and the abv to be 14.4%, I can't dispute either. I use my Great Heights tulip glass for this tasting. The pour is jet black, quite viscous and almost no head. I lift up for a smell, heavily chocolate, vanilla and alfalfa. Now with a drink. Geez, this is really fine. Dark chocolate of course, multi-grain bread, black plum, fudge, a hard candy sweetness and a definite indication of the barrel aging. Something of a burn with each sip. A very good offering from a Texas brewery.
