Cask at Snallygaster 2018. Its a mild barleywine or at least it felt that way. This was at the end of the fest for me and the only barleywine I had (maybe the only on pouring). Toffee and dusty malts, very much an English version. Light body from the cask with light carbonation. Faint caramel and light fruit esters. I could have drank the whole 14 ounces they poured me!

6 oz pour on cask at Snallygaster 2016. 2015 vintage. Brown with beige head. Aromas of caramel, toffee. Tastes of caramel, toffee, booze, dark fruit. Medium body with a dry finish.

Pours rather unclear blonde no real head. Smell is pure walnuts. Taste is walnuts, sweet, bit boozy, grainy, some copper, slightly bitter. Absolutely fantastic!

My 100th rating for beers brewed in the District of Columbia. This is the non-barrel aged version of this beer. Cask handpull at the source. Deep clear chestnut brown color, small but thick beige head. Aroma of plums, prunes, dates. Taste is rich smooth butterscotch and dark fruit. Very tasty, good choice for a cask offering, and even better during the one inch "blizzard" in DC that closed schools and wreaked havoc here. Weenies.
