A love of American microbrews is the inspiration behind this IPA, brewed with generous amounts of aromatic, American hops, which provide the significant freshness and bitterness with lots of citrus notes. The taste sensations are nicely balanced by the sweetness from the caramel malt.

Bottle 330ml (BB 27.08.2018). Almost clear, amber colour with huge, yellowish head, very good lacing. There are citrus notes at the biginning but after few minutes caramel in most intese. Semi sweet with caramel note in taste but there is also big medium to high citrus bitternes, unfortunately with quite big alcohol which burns in the throat and warms a little bit inside. Beer is definitely in east coast ipa, full body with big booze and that is not nice.

On tap. Pours a dark amber with moderate head. Aromas of toasted malts and muddled fruit. Flavors follow same with additional dried grapefruit. Solid, and good but not really remarkable.

Appearance- amber, a bit hazy, a two-finger lasting off-white head. Aroma- orange and grapefruit, hop resin, bready malt, fresh hops, pine. Taste- juicy fruit, pineapple, orange, grapefruit, thick malty backbone, bitter hops resins, fluffy malt, juicy bitter finish, full-bodied and slightly sticky. A very good IPA.

Pour is a dark copper with a large white head. Aroma is a bit citrus and a bit of pine hops with some caramel malt sneaking in there. Flavor is a slight hop with a big malt presence. It’s not a sweet malt but it’s a big part of this beer and kind of overpowers the hops. This should be named old school stateside. 20 years ago this would have been nice but by today’s IPA standard this would not scratch the surface of what an IPA can be.

Can. Tropical fruits, mango mostly, some citrus. Meaty and thick, yet not extremely heavy. Crisp carbonation carrying the fruit forward. Sweet mango finish. Highly drinkable, too. Yum!

From a can at the Struise shop in Bruges. Lacing, snow white, irregular, moussy head, cloudy amber robe with red-brownish hue. Aroma of tangerine, pink grapefruit, biscuit, hemp, pine resin, candied mango, minerals, stale sweat, mandarins. Crisp fruity onset, mango, mandarin and passion fruit impressions, ’fleshy’ and juicy with medium amount of carbonation just fit for the style, caramelly and biscuity malt sweetness in the middle, long hoppy finish providing a lot of retronasal citrus, mango and tropical flower aromas as well as drying, resinous but altogether soft bitterness. Nice, juicy, aromatic example of the style.
