A love of American microbrews is the inspiration behind this IPA, brewed with generous amounts of aromatic, American hops, which provide the significant freshness and bitterness with lots of citrus notes. The taste sensations are nicely balanced by the sweetness from the caramel malt.

Stateside ipa pint at the Mikkeller pop in Kyoto. The opaque reddish brown has a big fruity-floral aroma of bitting caramel and herbs. The taste is herbal spicing butting heads with fruits.

Tap at Before 9. Deep brown-orange, cloudy, high head. Nose of caramel, pine, oranges, peaches. Lots of caramunich coming through. Very old school, piny caramel. Nice enough though.

Can at Frog Fest, 29/05/16. Golden to copper with a decent off White head. Nose is caramel, bitter orange, straw, toasted bread, melon. Taste comprises caramel malt, orange peel, red grapefruit, candyfloss, bread dough. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi aggressive hop bitterness in the close. Ok IPA if a little old skool and malt forward for my liking.

Draught at Mikropolis. Pours amber. Thought I had rated it previously, lot more malty and less hoppy than I remembered and expected it to be.

330 ml. bottle split with Kraddel @ “The RARE Tasting”. Dark amber with an off-white head. Nose is dank pine, orange, faint cheese, rather dry, resinous & herbal. Taste is carries little fruity notes, this one is all dry bitter herbal resinous qualities, pine, dry floral, cork. Body is strongly dry with pine resin. Not my preferred kind of IPA but well-done & very pleasant even if not entirely aligned with personal preferences.

Tap. Hazy amber, thick offwhite head. Grape and passionfruit aroma. Similar flavour with piney bitterness and caramely sweetness. Smooth, slightly sticky with long bitter finish.
