A love of American microbrews is the inspiration behind this IPA, brewed with generous amounts of aromatic, American hops, which provide the significant freshness and bitterness with lots of citrus notes. The taste sensations are nicely balanced by the sweetness from the caramel malt.

Fra flaske på Mi2, Cardinal aug-15: uklar kobbergylden med højt, hvitt skum som varer. Mild og innsmigrende humleduft, solmodne fersken og mango pluss citrus. Karamellmalten holder det hele på plass. Smooth munnfylde og ettersmak, meget lettdrikkelig. Dog ikke helt superfrisk, synes der sniker seg inn noen halvvisne sommerblomster.

Shared bottle at Cardinal, Stavanger. Pours hazy amber with off-white head. Aroma of tropical fruits, pine needles, a little soap. Tastes bitter, but also quite fruity-sweet, medium bodied. Bitter finish. A decent IPA.

Shared bottle at Mi2 at Cardinal 31.08.15. Hazy, pale orange. Huge, foamy and uneven off-white head. Aroma of bitter grapefruit, citrus, tropical fruits, pine and succade. Bitter taste of citrus, papaya and dried fruits, balanced with malt, sugar and caramel.

From the very old notes, hence this is not a real rating, but more just a mark to myself that I have tried this at one point. Nice sweet hoppy brew with a lot of fruits and caramel.

330ml bottle. Unclear golden orange color with white to off white head. Malty and hoppy aroma, caramel, citrusy and tropical fruity, light pine, light floral. Sweet and bitter taste like aroma. Medium oily body with soft carbonation

Orange with creamy off-white head. Hoppy honey biscuit, strong odour, full body, strong hoppy finish. Classy. New rating. Murky dark golden, small to medium off-white head. Moderately hopped. Spices and fruits. Malts nicely present. Bitterness strikes at first, very nice fruity flavours. Medium body, moderate carbonation, moderate lasting dry finish.

Flaska från Mikkeller & Friends. En västkust-IPA med fräsch humle med mest tallskott, aningen grape och en grön kaffeton som förvånar mig lite. Rejäl kropp, smaken är söt karamellig, humlen saknar lite fruktighet men är annars riktigt maffig, tallskott, grape- och resinbeska. Bra men inte riktigt värd toppbetyg.
