50cl bottle at the Ape and Apple, Manchester. Pours dark golden to amber with a white head. Slightly fruity aroma with sweet malt and hints of cooked vegetables. Reminds me a bit of industrial pale lager, but with more bitterness. Sweet and grainy with a lightly bitter finish with hints of citrus. (2013-01-26)

50 cl bottle @ HBF. Rated on 21.05.2010
Aroma has English hops, toffee and some floral notes. Flavour is somewhat sweet with English hops, toffee, caramel and distant floral notes. Thin palate. Easy‐going, but still not my kind of bitter.

50cl bottle, 4.3%, 2.90€. Bright amber color with thin white head. Nothing in particular on the nose, arome of caramel malts and nice amount of british hops. Soft bitterness, hoppy finish. Light body, soft carbonation. Appreciable simple Bitter.

12 Oct 2011: My 500ml brown bottle was best before 9 Oct, so it’s 3 days too old tonight! The label claims "This nocturnal brew is sure to catch you by surprise. Guaranteed to arouse your Fifth Sense - Taste". Well lets see: I’m about to pour the bottle into a standard UK pint sleeve (a 2002 CAMRA fest one from Boston in the Fens). Good looking brew, clear and bright, an amber colour with an orangey hue: the head was white, but didn’t hang around to be introduced, so it loses a half point. Floral, fruity hop aroma with bicuity malts just below the surface. The taste is crisp, sharp and hoppy, the malts calming it all down after the initial hit of hops. The hops then take over again as the mouth begins to dry. Well balanced, with a hop lead and finish, a fine beer, pity so few have reviewed it.

Mild aroma of hops, can taste this in its bitterness which is weak despite having a medium body.

Bottled 500ml (K-Kamppi, ABV 4.3%)
Light clear amber color, small white head. Bready and nutty aroma with hints of flowery hops and dry yeast. Light body. Bready, citrusy, a bit sweet nutty flavor. Lingering citrusy bitterness in the aftertaste. Decent, but typical low abv British bitter.
