Can from Beyondbeer webshop Hamburg consumed at home Thursday 21st April we had Fish and Chips with Mushy Peas and Tartare Sauce for tea 😍 listening to Tom Ravenscroft sitting in for Marc Riley on 6Music. Pours black with a large dirty beige head, flecked with brown. Aroma is chocolate, roasted malts and at first a slightly artificial nuttiness. Taste following a similar trajectory, the nutty edge definitely winning out here, but bitter chocolate also. Loz thinks she picks up a bit of Yuzu. It's a rich, smooth, thick mouthfeel type of stout, perhaps a little more subtlety would improve things but I liked it despite its slightly brash nature.
