To be pragmatic, one must handle a problem practically rather than theoretically. The brewers in Plzen during the 19th century were faced with a problem; How could they compete with the increasing popularity of pale ales sweeping through Europe? Instead of theorising, they combined the unique local water chemistry with the native Saaz hops and thus the Pilsner was born. We challenged our brewers to create a crafted lager which is approachable to new beer drinkers and complex to the more experienced palate. Using the unique water from the foothills of the Rockies, the finest Alberta grains and a carefully selected quantity of Saaz hops, Delta’s Pragmatic Pilsner was born; problem solved!

355ml can. Pours a clear straw colour with a medium, foamy, long lasting, white head that laces. Mild aroma of grainy pale malt, grass and floral hops. Sweet flavour of crackery pale malt, red apple and grassy hops in a crisp, dry, mild bitter finish. Light body with a watery texture and average carbonation. A pretty average Pils, but it is refreshing, thirst quenching and easy to crush.
