Pale straw, effervescent. Medium head. Aroma is grassy, grainy and showing a bit of tartness. On the palate, cleaner. Nice pale malt character leaves just a kiss of sweetness for the herbaceous hops and medium bitterness. My standards for German pils are Bitburger, Jever and Wernesgruner...this has enough to evoke those, but of course isn't as polished. I wouldn't expect that. Solid work, though. Also, *marktplatz

Can
Blond colour, rather pale, but clear. Mild aroma of honey, bread, and grass. The mouthfeel is a bit weak, it's also dry, but there is some decent bread flavour, and grassy hops; maybe more North Germany than South Germany, but it's pleasant, the elements are there, even if on the mild scale, for Germany; still, an interesting one, in BC.

16oz @ Motrych's. Appearance: slightly hazy pale golden with a white head. Aroma: raw water, European hops. Taste: crispy, hoppy bitterness, interesting flowery candies notes. Overall: good.

Re-rate: Poured from 473mL can (pkg Oct 25, 2023). Same rating, definitely beginning to fall off from age so figured I should start drinking the leftovers... Mar 09, 2024 (7/3/7/3/14=3.4): poured from slow pour tap @ Dageraad. Clear yellow gold with white head. Lots of herbaceous grain. Not changing my rating. Just thought it would be nice to try one last time since they shut down. Mar 31, 2022 (7/3/7/3/14=3.4): [From notes at anniversary event] Poured from the tap @ Studio. Lightly hazy blonde gold with small white head. Mild grain and biscuit malt, herbaceous, grass hops, decent.

Poured with very nice clear light yellow, great foam. Aroma is weedy hops, vegetal, well represented in that respect. Taste is great cracker, bread, honey, fresh and well balanced. Ends full, crisp, smooth. This is great, really nailing it here.

On tap at Studio, pours a clear pale yellow with a small white head. Nose brings out lots of fresh herbaceous notes, grassy hops, and crisp biscuity malt. Flavour is crisp and fresh, with lots of grass, herbaceousness and biscuity malt. Bright, grassy and well-hopped. Very good.
