Can from Westhill Service Station. It pours darkest brown to black with a small khaki. The aroma is rich and decadent - bitter - sweet, lovely hit of noc whisky, whisky soaked fruit cake, vanilla, toasted coconut, perfumed, orange oil, dried fruits, xmas cake, tropical edge to it with some mango, panettone chocolate and vanilla fudge. The taste is slick and thick, toothy and chewy, decent bitterness which lingers, rich roasted vibes, big ol' hit of Highland whisky upfront, brashness, charred oak, coffee grounds, ashy, burnt toast, peppery spice, cacao nibs, tannin, vanilla fudge and some alcohol warmth through the roasty finish. Fulsome body and fine / soft carbonation. Nice depth of whisky character to it. Flavourful.

Can from Appellation Wines. Appearance - black with a tan head. Nose - chocolate, booze and a dry woody note. Taste - more of the booze and chocolate, with the woody note is rendering it very dry indeed. Palate - full bodied, dry and boozy. Overall - this could do with time to develop and soften up the woody edge to it. How quickly can that happen in a can.
