If you’re going to do a series of Mosaic IPAs, you have to start with a single hop! As an introduction to our Mosaic Series, Sherwood, is an 8.2% New England Double IPA that showcases the amazing Mosaic hop. An abundance of Mosaic hops are added at different stages of the brew to impart a tropical fruit aroma with hints of fresh rose blossoms, before embracing your taste buds with notes of papaya and tangerine.

Can at home. Somewhat unclear orange color, small off-white head. Aroma and flavor both have a light malty note, heavily hoppy, nicely fruit hoppiness mixed with some resinous hoppy notes. Moderate to decently bitter finish. Body is decent to medium, carbonation is average. Quite ok. 8-3-8-3-14

16th June 2019 Can. Light haze on this gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Smooth palate, semi dry, decent fine carbonation. Smooth but fairly thin malts. Resinous and slightly ripe citrus and citrus peel. Little tingling spice. Okay but lacks any real brightness or pep. 3.4

GBBF Day 1. Cask. Light palate, mildly dry, decent fine carbonation. Great tinned tropical fruit melange. Very pink guava. Floral tropical fruits. Little orangey citrus provides contrast. Light and marvellously guava, would never know this was the same beer as that rather staid affair in the can.

473ml can. Hazy, yellow-ish, bright golden colour with some tiny chunks floating around, average, frothy to creamy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing white head on top. Tropical fruity and slightly citrusy, hoppy aroma, notes of passion fruit, mango, some grapefruit and lemon, sugary, crystal malty background, peanut overtones. Taste is citrusy and tropical fruity hoppy, slightly bitter and mineral, sweet, sugary, crystal malty backbone, notes of lemon, orange, passion fruit, some mango, grapefruit; slightly chalky, medicamentous and minimally alcoholic finish. Flawed here and there.
