It’s been almost 2 years since Kyle from Horus Aged Ales reached out to say he’s ready to head to Decorah. We spent the next few months conceptualizing the project; originally targeting the beer expression of a caramel pecan chocolate bar. This is the final, and barrel-aged version of that batch. Aged on a selection of vanilla from Mexico, Tahiti, Madagascar, and Vanuatu, then multiple doses of roasted pecans; we’re excited to share this beer with the world. Imagine a turtle bundt cake topped with vanilla ice cream and a double dose of roasted pecans. Cheers, and enjoy!

Bottle. Pours opaque black, small tan head, some lacing. Aaron's is chocolate, molasses, hint of anise, vanilla, bourbon. Flavor is medium plus sweet, light plus bitter. Medium body.

Bottle shared by MJ. Black with brief tan head. Cocoa, vanilla, oak, bourbon, pecans. Taste is slightly more boozy and nutty than aroma. Brilliant stuff.

Bottle thanks to Russell. Pours black with small tan head that lasts. The aroma is pecan, vanilla, roast, cocoa, bourbon. Slick body, vanilla, roasted malt, pecan, wood, boozy finish, nice sweetness, enjoyed this.

Thank you for sharing this bottle Chris - Black with a dark off white head - Dark malt aroma with wood and vanilla in the aroma - Dark malt body with a sweet vanilla and wood flavour with some alcohol heat - The dark malt flavours with wood and weet vanilla goes into the finish - This was real good
