Bottle at Public Corner, Vasa. A bit murky dark amber color, medium-sized off-white head. Aroma has toffee, hops and some kind of odd yeastyness. Medium-bodied. Toffeish, malty, some piney hops and alcohol. Long bitter aftertaste. Warming. Ok although expected a bit more from my friends hype.

Bottled@Lakeuden Panimojuhlat 2017. Deep amber colour, mediumsized white head. Aroma is red berries, some mild rye, quite boozy sweetness with sweet dried fruits. Flavour is alcohol, ripe fruits, figs, some slight rye to it as well as some mild berry notes. Good sipper.

Draught @ One Pint Pub. Rated on 3.12.2016. Aroma has sweet fruity tones, caramel, some woody notes and malt. Flavour has fruity hops, some wood and caramel. Finishes with woody tones, and grapefruity and grassy hops. Aftertaste has menthol. Hides the ABV well. The first sips were nice and this felt like some good american BWs. But then the menthol-like hops took over. Not bad still.

Draught @ OlutExpo 2016. Pours dark reddish with a smooth head. Aroma of caramely malts, earthy notes, sweetish syrup, hints of berries and hops. Taste is malty, sweetish and slightly stuffy with some berries, fruits and caramely notes. Finish is hoppy, crisp and earthy with some berries and malts. Decent barley wine with quite a lot of berries.

(Keg at OlutExpo 2016) The beer poured brown and clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had malts, caramel and nuts. Palate was full bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were malts, caramel, biscuits, nuts, grass and bitterness. Aftertaste was malty and bitter. A good barley wine that hid its high ABV well.

Tap at Olutexpo 2016, Helsinki. Colour is deep light brown with small white head. Aromas and flavors: Dry fruits, ripe fruits, some sweetness, licorice, some salt, hops and malts.
