Samea, melko tumman punertavanruskea olut vaahtoaa runsaasti pitkään säilyvällä ja pitsiä jättävällä vaahdolla. Tuoksu terävän mausteinen, kanelinen ja kukkainen, mutta jollain ikävällä vihannesmaisella sivuhöysteellä täydennettynä. Maku samoin melko kuivan mausteinen, ei juuri muuta. Tässäkin ikävä sivumaku. Melko kevyt suutuntuma, pehmeä, mutta turhan yksiulotteisen mausteinen kokonaisuus. Jouluun tämä toki sopii, mutta kun siihenkin löytyy satoja parempia vaihtoehtoja.

Bottle 0.5l from local Alko, Vantaa. BBE 02.08.2016. Colour is coudy light brown with small white head. Aromas and flavours: Spices, cardemumma, cinnamon, biscuits, chocolate and malts. Very spicy.

Bottled (from Alko Kivihaka, Vaasa). Ambery black colour, mediumsized brown head. Aroma is star anise, some minty notes as well as some slight toasted wood and mild xylitol. Flavour is smoked wood, some mild star anise and clove. Quite dry and not all too balanced.

Bottle 500ml (Alko, Pori Keskusta)
Dark brown color, steady off-white head and some lace. Strong Xmas spiceyness in the nose - cinnamon and clove plus some bready malt and yeast in the background. Medium-bodied. Spices are also in the flavor. Then also caramalt, light ash, anise, liquorice and light hoppyness. Quite robust and certainly a step above the lighter version.

(Bottle, 0.5 l - BB 02.06.2016, from Alko, 20151119) The beer poured dark brown and cloudy. Its head wad medium sized and white. Aroma had clove, cinnamon and cramel. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonatio.. Flavours were malts, sweetness, saltiness, clove, aniseed and bitterness. Aftertaste was spicy and bitter. A bit too spicy brew.
